Prisons Have Handbooks?

Monday, April 29th, 2013

Daniel Heiss escaped from an Australian prison back in 1995, and a recent book claimed that he had done so in part by memorizing the details of the prison’s master key after studying it while it hung from a prison officer’s belt. That would be interesting and amusing enough, but apparently, the real story is even more ridiculous.

“When I read that I thought ‘What a load of bullshit’, – it was much, much easier than that,” [a former prison officer] said.

How easy? Apparently, the prison gave everyone a picture of the key.
