Earlier this month, a diver in the Colorado River stumbled upon a rather odd scene. Resting almost 0.0022 leagues under the sea were two skeletons enjoying a tea party. The diver apparently alerted authorities, after which a police diver checked on the underwater scene. At that point, it was determined that the whole scene was staged using fake skeletons.
After the authorities became involved, the couple responsible came forward. Fortunately, the easygoing La Paz County Sheriff’s Office has said no charges will be filed. In fact, the skeletons (“Bernie” and “Bernadette”) may be left just where they are for others to find.
