The owner of a Chinese restaurant in Santa Cruz, Roger Grigsby, gave a $500 campaign contribution to white supremacist David Duke in 2016. After much public outcry at this despicable donation, Grisgby defended it by calling Duke “one of the men supporting European American civil rights”. Grigsby also cited a “war on whites” as the reason for the backlash. That’s uncommonly stupid, but some small good has come out of this. After all, it led to this humorous review of the restaurant:
“The swat-stickers were all right.”
Now that’s just delicious wordplay.
