Movie studios have often appeared incredibly oblivious to the world changing around them. However, it seems they’ve finally realized that people would like to have digital copies of the movies they own on physical discs. Now, at least one studio has come up with quite the solution:
DVD owners bring their DVDs to a store that will handle the digital conversion. [Warner Home Entertainment Group President Kevin] Tsujihara described this process as allowing consumers to convert their libraries “easily, safely and at reasonable prices.”
Perhaps more likely, the studios are simply run by greedy idiots.
