Government Is Serious Business

Awhile back, I discovered that some forms from the City of Cambridge were what could charitably described as less than professional. Ultimately, when I actually had to fill one of these forms out, I figured I’d have some fun with it1.

The form in question, filled out.

The best part is the contrast between the serious legal message of the pre-signature warning and the typeface chosen. Comic Sans can’t possibly be legally binding, right?

Footnotes:

  1. I was mad that someone was using a leaf blower at 3 AM, but I was far more ticked off that I actually had to file a noise complaint about it, aging 50 years in the process. Bitter whimsy was clearly in order. ↩︎
