After anti-gay group One Million Moms attempted (then backed down from) a boycott of JCPenney for hiring Ellen Degeneres as a spokeswoman, you might think the retailer would shy away from controversy. You would think wrong, however, as evidenced by this Father’s Day ad:
Pictured is a real family, with fathers Cooper Smith Koch and Todd Koch along with their kids Claire and Mason. One Million Moms claims to be disturbed by the ad. I certainly believe that they’re disturbed, alright.
In related news, Zach Wahls demonstrated every single damned thing that’s right about being an Eagle Scout by delivering 275,000 signatures to the Boy Scouts of America, demanding change to their anti-gay policies. Good for you, Zach.
