This story is a couple weeks old, but it’s just so stupid it must be shared. Pre-packaged food can be handy, if expensive, such as buying pre-diced watermelon or pineapple. However, European supermarket Billa was recently selling perhaps the stupidest pre-packaged fruit imaginable, though perhaps a more accurate term would be “re-packaged” food. What natural fruit did Billa prepare for easier consumption? Yes, Bananas.
Perhaps not surprisingly, the item was met with quite the backlash on Billa’s Facebook page. The supermarket moved to distance themselves from the item, promising it would not be sold again.
