Soylent is a recently created food substitute. So far, it’s the closest there seems to be to Futurama’s Bachelor Chow.

The New Yorker has a great look at the fascinating and bizarre world of Soylent. The piece includes this gem, referring to flatulence that may occur when the product is first used:
