The regular season is winding down for Major League Baseball, but before it ends, there’s some business to close out. Back in the ’80s and ’90s, the first baseball video game to feature real players was “R.B.I. Baseball”. Kids, these were top of the line graphics in 1987:
In 2014, it made a comeback, replete with a major marketing campaign. 27 years later, the graphics were vastly improved. And yet, I found myself haunted by this ad:
That’s either a tremendously good representation of a guy who’s just not all there, or the graphics still have some room for improvement.
Too much time tracking pop flies in the sun, perhaps.
