Amazing Automated Time-lapses

Tuesday, May 19th, 2015

Researchers from Google and the University of Washington have mined Flickr and used powerful computer analysis to “discover” new time-lapses. Rather than setting up one camera to record the same thing repeatedly over time, they scoured tens of millions of photographs to find images of the same thing from many different sources and times, then stitched them together. The results are damned impressive well-worth a look.
