Apparently, many in China celebrate a sort of anti-Valentine’s day known as Singles’ Day, and it’s become a huge shopping day. It’s “a mock celebration in China for people not in relationships”, and everything about it is amazing. It was created back in the ’90s, and it’s celebrated on November 11th, because the ones in the date (11/11) represent being alone. How great is that?
The thing that sticks out to me, however, is the possibility of getting double screwed. If you’re in a relationship in November, but dumped by February, you’re just not getting any love at all.
