Water Does Not Truly Sustain Life; It Merely Extends It Until the Next Drink 

Maine’s governor Paul LePage is a real piece of work. In his most recent fit of uncompassionate conservatism, he’s vetoed a bill to provide better access to naloxone hydrochloride, an anti-overdose drug, and his logic is more than a little despicable.

In an ideal world, naloxone wouldn’t be necessary at all. But let us live (and govern) in reality, and not allow those who need help the most to simply perish.
