It’s Girl Scout cookie season, which makes it a good time to note that two completely different companies produce those cookies. Do you get “Peanut Butter Sandwich” cookies or “Do-si-dos”? “Peanut Butter Patties” or “Tagalongs”? It depends if your Girl Scouts are supplied by “Little Brownie Bakers” or “ABC Bakers”. Given how connected we all are in the 21st century, it’s quite strange that we can have different Girl Scout cookie experiences.

Until very recently, it was even stranger. In the recent past, some Thin Mints were chocolate-covered while others did not:

It appears that in 2025, both bakeries now make chocolate-covered Thin Mints, so things are a little less weird. Still weird, though!
