As discussed on Monday, Giant Pandas are poorly designed. Even having read about that, and about scientists’ often-amusing work to increase the panda population, it’s unlikely you’re prepared for a story with the headline “Researchers Dressed as Pandas Introduce Cubs to Wild“. Apparently, researchers are preventing panda cubs from acclimatizing to human contact by dressing in panda suits for any contact they have with them:
Of course, now that cub is acclimatized to plastic crates
That picture is simply phenomenal. Inside that suit is a researcher who no doubt spent a fair number of years getting one or more degrees, and that’s pretty great too.
