You gotta fight, for your right, to exercise your voting shares of a telecommunications corporation, thereby changing their corporate policies with which you disagree. Thanks to Mike D of the Beastie Boys, among others, the SEC has told AT&T and other mobile carriers that they’ll be required to allow their shareholders to vote on net neutrality. A group including Mike D and his wife successfully petitioned the SEC for this measure, so it appears we owe thanks to the co-writer of “Girls”.
