Tesla v. Broder

Thursday, February 14th, 2013

There’s no love lost between electric car maker Tesla Motors and The New York Times on this particular Valentine’s Day. The Times recently featured a piece by John Broder wherein he claimed that Tesla’s Model S was not up to snuff for cold Northeastern winters, due to weak battery life. After disputing the validity of this claim via Twitter, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has now fired back with an aggressive blog post detailing the ways in which Broder manipulated events to manufacture the negative story he wanted to write. The post includes comprehensive vehicle logs from the car Broder used.
