Last week, an issue with a system update to cybersecurity software CrowdStrike took out a wide swath of Windows-based systems, including those helping many airlines run. Unaffected, however, was Southwest. Apparently, that was due to Southwest running on top of decades-old operating systems, including Windows 3.1.
