On Sunday, Joe Biden withdrew from the 2024 presidential election in America. He then endorsed his vice-president, Kamala Harris, and she is now the front-runner for the Democratic nomination. Should she indeed be the Democratic candidate in November, she will represent the only reasonable choice for president. She is eminently qualified, but this year, even that barely matters.

But Harris’s own qualifications pale in comparison to the case against Trump. That case is simple and easy to make. Donald Trump is a fascist. He is a felon. He will be the oldest president in American history. All the Democrats need is someone who can repeat these facts again and again. Joe Biden sadly wasn’t that person. Kamala Harris is.

Even before he took office, Donald Trump showed himself unfit for the presidency. His horrifying flaws have gotten worse and worse as he has curdled with both age and exposure to the dangerous fawning of fools. This November, reasonable Americans must recognize that our country, and the world, can’t afford another four years of Donald Trump. Let him be resigned to the ash heap of history, and let that happen soon. Kamala Harris for President.
