In today’s edition of “Billionaires should not exist”, here’s Larry Ellison:

During an investor Q&A, Ellison described a world where artificial intelligence systems would constantly monitor citizens through an extensive network of cameras and drones, stating this would ensure both police and citizens don’t break the law.

Most of Ellison’s pontificating was actually about supervising the police with AI. There might be something to the idea that positions of authority could be paired with automated oversight to prevent abuses of power. The idea that all citizens will be constantly surveilled, however, is monstrous.
